Foundation for Darker Skin Tone

Finding the perfect shade of foundation or concealer for a darker skin tone is harder than finding a pair of size 11 jeans. There are gazillion shades of darker skin tone, unknown to most cosmetic companies. Maybe that's why God made darker woman more beautiful....lol....
So I've been wasting money and my personal time experimenting with all kinds of darker shade of foundation that suit my skin tone. Watched a lot of makeup tutorials for dark woman on you-tube and other makeup blogs. Problem is the ladies doing the tutorial are either darker or has a different skin tone to mine.
First of all, I'm not too dark, I have no African heritage or whatsoever in me. I'm from mixed heritage, some of you might not have heard of Melanesian and Polynesian race. But I know I'm not the only one finding a hard time to get the color right. During Summer I get darker in specific regions of my face, my forehead needs less concealer but I always made the mistake of applying some, out of habit.
Today I'm quite comfortable with the concealers and foundation I use but I'm not satisfied with it. Because I still have to blend 2 or 3 different shades to get the result I wanted. Less and less cosmetic companies are interested in perfecting the foundation shelf for dark women. I don't blame them, dark women care less about their face and more about their Afro. Its true! walk into any black woman's room and you will find tones of hair products, including weaves and wigs. Open the drawer or look at the dresser and you will not find a lot of facial products like facial wash and a complete makeup kit. Its no secret, Black woman take more attention to their hair than their face..Ask Chris Rock!
Anyway, I found this shop that claims to be dedicated to makeup products for women with darker skin tone. Its called BlackUp, problem is that the closest shop to me would be Paris. Its already in my To-Do list whenever I hit this magical city of... love?
If you are a black woman and like me, finding a hard time getting the right tone. I suggest you try ESSENCE or MAC they have a wide range of concealers that you can blend with other colors. Just don't do the mistake of wearing something too light otherwise you'll look like a ghost. It will cost you money to experiment on all products. What I do is I go to the ladies at the makeup counters and ask them to try their products on my face. Until we find the perfect shade or blend I always refuse to buy something to try by myself at home.
