"When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepeneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is brilliant, beautiful and intimidating...........
The first sequel to E.L James trilogy, Fifty Shades of Grey, tells of a young naive literature student who encounters the rich, powerful and dark Mr. Grey. The first 10 pages was really captivating, the writer slowly unfolds the story in a twist of events. However fresh this book is, for me its deja vu. By the 100th page I felt like I read this book before. A typical harlequin mills and boons romantic novel. Rich handsome guy, poor stubborn girl and millions circumstances trying to keep them apart.
Fifty shades of Grey is rather filled with erotic scenes. 70% of this written material is just sexual encounters. Christian Grey is a sadist who according to himself is "Fifty shades fucked up". He was introduced into this lifestyle by a family friend at the age of 14. Being a problem child who was raised by a prostitute and drug addict and had many encounters with pimps. He was later adopted by a rich loving family......
I didn't find anything unique or over exciting about this trilogy in general. Its just too raw and amattuer for me. I felt like by the second book Fifty Shades Darker the writer doesn't have any other material or plot to work on. Even the erotic piece was not even romantic or dark enough, if that's what the writer was aiming at. In the end I feel like this book was written without much thought put into it. The plot could have been developed into something better. Something deeper and darker, seeing that this trilogy was debut as that.
The characters were insufficiently portrayed. Like I would love to know more about this dark handsome Mr. Grey. I guess that's why no A list celebrity wanted any part in the film. I mean this would be a career suicide, like when Jessica Alba star in that film 'The Love Guru'. Beware, ms..... You're next gig phone call might be from the pornhub.

I would never recommend this book to anybody but in keeping up with trend why not?
